How To Celebrate A Birthday

Good day, Henry here. What did you do to celebrate your country’s birthday? Some people partied, some danced the night away, some got drunk and many went on a journey. My buddy and I took to the water and had a ten mile canoe paddle.
What a gorgeous day it was. The sun pored down out of a largely cloudless sky, wildlife was out in abundance and the river pushed us along at a quick pace.
At noon we went ashore, made a fire pit and cooked our meal. Fishers and lovers floated past, while we lazed on the bank.
Later we ambled down the river to the park. On the way, we encountered many birds and evidence of wildlife. Most spectacularly, we rounded a bend and a doe stood at the waters edge with the smallest fawn I had ever seen, perhaps hours old. It was about as big as a cocker spaniel.
This wonderful day was a good example of how a sensing type and an intuitive can live in harmony. My buddy, the sensing type, noticed everything. He missed nothing, not a new beaver lodge, a muskrat or beaver slide, or the numberless birds.
I, the intuitive, was totally immersed in the experience and the imaginations that arouse from it. Both of us were quite happy to share our observations and didn’t bother trying to convince the other that we were right.
Both of us had a wonderful day, with close observations of the area and somewhat profound conversations about the meaning of it all, and where it all led us. Intuitives and sensing types just have to accept each other and their view of reality to make the most of the relationship.
