Worrying About Anna Nicole

Anna Nicole Smith
Good day all, Henry here. All this talk about Anne Nicole Smith and the eternity it has taken to get her buried has raised several issues in my mind. The latest one to come to focus is the brain theory of the universe. Really, stay with me here.

This brain is not the grey matter between our ears but is short for membrane. I don’t completely understand this theory, but I understand that it says that perhaps our experience of reality is only one strand of a much larger membrane, that we’re only seeing one piece of the puzzle.

This is Star Trek stuff, with all their talk of parallel universes. That is exactly what they seem to be suggesting that there a multitude of parallel universes where life goes on quite independently from ours. They would have their own science, their own medicine, their own religious ideas, their own way of marrying and procreating, etc.

It is probably a silly idea, but some scientists are studying the theory seriously and seem to think that they are capable of figuring out if it is more than a theory.

Won’t that stretch our poor brains if we discover that we share the universe, or the many universes with creatures quite different from ourselves? It strikes me that we might be far more accepting of each other if we learned that we co-habited the universe with creatures with three heads, 100 eyes, and a dozen arms, that maybe we wouldn’t fight so much over things that don’t matter much if we knew that somewhere we have distant cousins playing tennis with nine rackets at a time. Just a thought.
