United 93: Grieving Together
Henry here. CNN reports in its entertainment section that audiences were moved to tears by the depiction of the flight on 9/11 of “United 93”, in which the passengers tried to wrestle the plane back from hijackers before it was crashed into a field, killing everyone.
My guess is that many Americans will think that this is an excellent film needed by the general population. Further I suspect that the country will be divided between the extroverts who want everything out in the open and who will appreciate a chance to share the experience with others and the introverts who will tend not to go to the film and will not want to spill their feelings out with a huge group of others.
Although this is obviously a powerful issue with lots of highly charged emotions, generally speaking this is typical behavior of both groups. Extroverts tend to enjoy exchanging ideas and experiences with others and introverts prefer to think about such experiences in their own private thoughts.
