What Type Is Santa?

Just a short post today, answering the eternal question: What personality type is Santa? What do you think? It seems to me he has to be a sensing type to keep track of all of the children – if not, no one would ever great the right gift! He’s likely extroverted, ‘cause how could he engage so many millions of others. However, it could be argued that he’s an introvert as most of his work goes on in the dark and out of direct contact with others. Seems to me he’s probably a feeling type, as one of his values is that people have “been good”. And he absolutely must be a judging type as he loves lists, and doesn’t loose them like a perceptive Santa might. Wow, that would be scary, a perceptive Santa. He’d be still trying to decide what to give to whom in May!

Personality Type At The Office Christmas Party

Santa is an introvert! I’m not being bold and wreckless, allow me to explain. Santa, or Father Christmas as he is know in my part of the world, isn’t a shy man; neither does he interact with his public. He has lived for centuries, watching as those he serves grow old and die or worse die young in endless confilcts yet never interfers. I don’t believe he is a feeling type either. Look at the early Saints. They feel compelled to follow a path. If Santa is a representation of Saint Nicholas he may have an overiding sense of duty to perform his calling. Note the fact he sticks ridgedly to the night of the 24th and doesn’t increase his activities suggests an absence of OCD. If on the other hand he is a spirt or pagan god, then it is fate that decrees his dharma and not a caring personality…

Hmm, good point. I wonder if the fact that Santa is able to come out of his shell (albeit, still in the dark) once a year, but then gets to stay in hiding the rest of the year makes a difference. Many actors, politicians and other public figures are introverts, but they can do what they need to do, as long as they get their alone time.
It seems to me that, considering all the information Santa has on everyone, that even though he started out as a Pagan figure, he must be working with Donald Rumsfeld now:P
